About: The Art of the Napkin Sketch is an instructor-led workshop that will teach you how to turn your creative ideas into quick-drawn graphics that can be shared on the fly. Through hands-on drawing exercises, you’ll learn to see like an artist with an introduction to sketching and perspective. Then you’ll learn to draw like a designer with techniques of the trade. Our step-by-step instruction will ensure that you leave the workshop with new skills, new confidence in your drawing abilities, and a napkin sketch that someone (other than your mom) can be proud of.
The skills taught in this workshop will be useful for planners who need to quickly communicate various planning and urban design concepts, such as scale, building arrangement, building disposition, and the relationships between the public and private realms.
