About: Join Kristen Jeffers and the growing The Black Urbanist team, for the second of her monthly happy hours in D.C. at HalfSmoke on Florida Avenue right off the U Street Corridor in Shaw. Come and kick back with Kristen and Co. while we all enjoy supporting the titular food item and maybe an adult shake. In addition to the full menu available at cost, you’ll be able to register for Kristen’s upcoming How to Communicate in the Modern World Workshops, pledge a monthly amount to The Black Urbanist Patreon (or do a one-time donation), talk about how our region could be better and play Monopoly the right way. You know, the one that only takes an hour and a half, but requires you to be quick on your feet.

The winner will leave with a The Black Urbanist prize pack.

HalfSmoke's official happy hour is from 4-8 pm and our Monopoly games will kick off right around 7:15.
